NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Council of the London Borough of Camden propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The general nature and effect of the Orders will be to:

  • a Add one new electric vehicle recharging parking place in each of Doughty Street; Bernard Street; Warren Street; Swinton Street and Lincoln’s Inn Fields.
  • b to amend the existing pay & display parking places in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, Doughty Street and Bernard Street to accommodate those electric recharging points.
  • c to amend the footway and extend by three spaces the existing pay & display parking places outside 243-249 Shaftesbury Avenue.
  • d to remove two pay & display parking places in Grape Street for safety reasons.

A copy of the proposed Orders and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be inspected/obtained at the Culture and Environment Reception Desk, fifth floor, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street, WC1H 8EQ.

Any person wishing to object or make representations to the proposed Orders, should send your comments in writing, giving your reasons for any objection to the Director of Culture and Environment Directorate, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street, London WC1H 8EQ, to reach this Department by 26 MARCH 2009 within 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
