NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991 that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Celtic Energy Limited for consent to discharge a rainfall dependant volume (a maximum of 19,515 cubic metres a day) of site drainage from an opencast coal site to a tributary of The River Llynfell at National Grid Reference SN 73967 12583 from East Pit Revised Coal Site, New Road, Ammanford, SA18 3UP.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to The Environment Agency, Water Quality Permitting Support Centre, PO Box 4209, Sheffield, S9 9BS, during the period 4/3/09 to 15/4/09 quoting reference BM0042209.

Please be aware that any representation may be made available to third parties under the Freedom of Information Act or Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge at the Local Environment Agency office at Environment Agency Wales, Maes Newydd, Llandarcy, Neath Port Talbot, SA10 6JQ between the hours of 9 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday (not Bank Holidays).
