THE TOWER HAMLETS AND HACKNEY (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO.1) ORDER 2008

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, having consulted with the London Borough of Hackney, made the above mentioned Order on 29th September 2008 under sections 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.
  • 2 The general effect of The Tower Hamlets and Hackney (Prescribed Routes) (No.1) Order 2008 will be to prohibit vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of 7.5 tonnes from proceeding in the following streets or lengths of street; Cadogan Close, Cadogan Terrace, St Mark’s Gate and Wick Lane, between its junction with Cadogan Terrace and its junction with Monier Road.
  • 3 A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 13th October 2008 can be inspected, by prior appointment, at the offices of Communities, Localities & Culture, Transportation and Highways Section, Anchorage House, c/o Mulberry Place, PO Box 55739, London E14 2BG, during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays inclusive, until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
  • 4 Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision provided therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
