NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991, SECTION 58

NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS

• 1 Three months advance notice is hereby given that Swindon Borough Council (Highway Authority) intends to carry out substantial works for Road purposes.
• 2 The roads in which these works will take place are:
• 3 Work is expected to affect the carriageway and footway.
• 4 Work is expected to commence on 6 January 2009 (work should begin within one month of this date).
• 5 The works notified will include carriageway surfacing and associated works.
• 6 Subject to the exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 12 months from completion of the works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of Swindon Borough Council (Highway Authority), which is not unreasonably withheld.
