TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

THE COUNCIL OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of the following areas of public highway:

  • 1 The areas of public highway to be stopped up form part of the carriageway of the highway known as Churchyard Row and the carriageway to the south of Longville Road and south-west of Churchyard Row.

IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping up will be authorised to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to First Base Land Partnership & English Partnerships by the Council of the London Borough of Southwark on 1st April 2008 under reference LBS Reg. No 07-AP-0760.

COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND THE RELEVANT PLANS MAY BE INSPECTED at all reasonable hours during 28 days commencing on 2nd October 2008 at the One Stop Shop, Southwark Council, Walworth Old Town Hall, 151 Walworth Road, London SE17 1RY quoting reference LEG/PLA/129913(SH)

ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT to the making of the proposed order within the period of 28 days commencing on 2nd October 2008 by notice to the Strategic Director of Legal and Democratic Services, South House, 30-32 Peckham Road, London SE5 8PX quoting reference LEG/PLA/129913(SH).

In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.

The Schedule

  • 1 Erection of building comprising 1 building of up to 44 storeys (145.5 metres AOD) and a terrace of up to 7 storeys in height to provide 470 residential flats (Class C3), theatre (Class D2) and cafe (Class A3) uses and a pavilion building for retail/marketing suite purposes (Class A1/Sui Generis) with associated public open space, landscaping, underground car parking for 30 cars and servicing space pursuant to Planning Permission 07-AP-0760.
