Pursuant to paragraph 1 of Schedule 3 and section 139(6) of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979 (“CEMA”) the Commissioners of Revenue & Customs hereby give notice that by virtue of the powers contained in the Customs and Excise Acts, certain goods detained on 30 May 2008 at Unit 30 and 30A Enterprise Industrial Estate, Bolina Road, London SE16 3LF, namely:

4,634.3 litres of alcohol labelled “Vodka”;

six containers containing approximately 5,000 litres of alcohol;

a quantity of empty bottles, boxes and labels; and

assorted equipment and machinery believed to be involved in the production and bottling of alcohol;

have been seized as liable to forfeiture under sections 13(3) and/or 25(4) of the Alcoholic Liquor Duties Act 1979 and/or sections 141 and 170B of CEMA.

Any person claiming that any of these goods are not liable to forfeiture should give notice of their claim in writing to any office of HM Revenue & Customs within 1 month of the date of this notice in accordance with Schedule 3 paragraphs 3 and 4 of CEMA. If you are outside the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man you must also give the name and address of a Solicitor in the United Kingdom who is authorised to accept services of process and act on your behalf.

If proper notice of claim is not received within the said period of 1 month or if any requirement of the above-mentioned paragraph 4 is not complied with, the goods will be deemed to have been duly condemned as forfeited in accordance with Schedule 3 paragraph 5 of CEMA.

If notice of claim in proper form is received the Commissioners will take legal proceedings for the condemnation of the goods.
