THE GLA ROADS AND GLA SIDE ROADS (GREENWICH) RED ROUTE CONSOLIDATION TRAFFIC ORDER 2007

A2 GLA ROAD (BLACKHEATH ROAD) (NO. 2) VARIATION ORDER 2008

  • 1 Transport for London hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  • 2 The general nature and effect of the Order will be to—

(i) Introduce changes to the Red Route kerbside loading and disabled person parking bays as follows:-

  • a amend the starting and finishing points of the loading bay between Nos. 63/65 and 71/73 Blackheath Road so as to start outside No. 69 and to finish outside No. 75 (the overall length being reduced by 6 metres).
  • b amend the starting and finishing points of the loading bay between Nos. 89 and 93 Blackheath Road so as to start outside Nos. 83 and 85 and to finish outside No. 91 (the overall length being reduced by 6 metres).

(ii) Introduce changes to the Red Route No Stopping At Any Time as follows:-

  • a extend the length of no stopping between No. 45 to Nos. 63/65 so as to extend to a point 1 metre west of the common boundary of Nos. 69/71 Blackheath Road.
  • b remove the length of no stopping between Nos. 83/85 and No. 89 Blackheath Road.
  • 3 The road which would be affected by the Order is the A2 Blackheath Road in the London Borough of Greenwich.
  • 4 A copy of the Order, a statement of Transport for London’s reasons for the proposals, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of:

Transport for London, Streets TRO Team (STOT/RNM), 197 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 8NJ; and

London Borough of Greenwich, Greenwich Strategic Planning, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, London SE18 6HQ.

  • 5 All objections and other representations to the proposed Order must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. Objections and representations must be sent to Transport for London, Street Management, Windsor House, 42-50 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0TL quoting Ref TASS/AD/SF/TO, GLA/2008/374, to arrive before 22 October 2008. Objections and other representations may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
