PURSUANT TO SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925

HAWTHORNES OF NOTTINGHAM LTD PENSION AND LIFE ASSURANCE SCHEME

The Hawthornes of Nottingham Ltd Pension and Life Assurance Scheme (the Scheme) was established by Hawthornes of Nottingham Limited, the Company (company number 00428607) from 25 June 1973. The Scheme started to wind-up on 4 July 2000. On 9 February 2004 Alexander Forbes Trustee Services Limited (AFTS) was appointed as a Trustee to the Scheme.

AFTS has corresponded by post with all known members of the Scheme. It is of vital importance that any person having a claim against or an interest in the Scheme, including any person who may have been employed by the Company or an associated employer on a part time basis and who considers that his or her exclusion from the Scheme may have constituted indirect discrimination, who has not received correspondence from us should make themselves known to AFTS.

Particulars of any claim should be sent in writing to Stephen Weblin, Alexander Forbes Trustee Services Limited, 6th Floor, Market Square House, St James’s Street, Nottingham NG1 6FG on or before 1 November 2008. After that date AFTS will proceed with the winding-up of the Scheme and distribution of the Scheme assets having regard only to the claims and interests of which it has had notice.

You do not need to contact us if you are receiving a pension from the Scheme or we have written to you.
