SOPER CLOSE - PART TIME ROAD CLOSURE

THE WALTHAM FOREST (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. 7) TRAFFIC ORDER 2008

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985(b), and of all other powers thereunto enabling.
  • 2 The effect of the Order will be to continue indefinitely the provisions of The Waltham Forest (Prescribed Route) (No. 1) Experimental Traffic Order 2007 - thereby retaining the part time closure to vehicles (other than those necessitating access to properties) of Soper Close between 8.30 am and 9.15 am and between 3.15 pm and 4.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays during school term time only.
  • 3 Copies of the Order, which will come into operation on 9th September 2008 and of other relevant documents can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made at:- (a) The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17; (b) The Waltham Forest Direct Shop, 772-776 High Road, Leyton, E10; and (c) Low Hall, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7AS.
  • 4 Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
