NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991 SECTION 58 (AS AMENDED BY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ACT 2004)
NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS
Southampton City Council under the above Section gives the following details:
- 1 Three months’ advance notice is hereby given that Southampton City Council intends to carry out substantial road works.
- 2 The road in which these works will take place is Bursledon Road.
- 3 Work is expected to affect the carriageway of Bursledon Road from a point 100m north-west of its junction with Gavan Street to a point 100m south-east of its junction with Gavan Street.
- 4 Work is expected to commence on 8th December 2008.
- 5 The works notified consist of carriageway re-surfacing.
- 6 Subject to the exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 3 years from completion of the works described in paragraph 5, without the consent of the said Highway Authority, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
