PROPOSED WAITING RESTRICTIONS BUCKLAND ROAD & MOOR LANE, CHESSINGTON

THE KINGSTON UPON THAMES (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO.*) TRAFFIC ORDER 200*

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
  • 2 The general effect of the Order would be to:
    • a convert the existing single yellow lines on the south-east side of Buckland Road (adjacent to No. 97 Moor Lane) to double yellow line “at any time” restrictions. The restrictions at this location would also be reduced in length by approximately 15 metres (outside No. 2 Buckland Road);
    • b extend the existing double yellow line “at any time” restrictions on the north-east side of Moor Lane, north-west of its junction with Buckland Road, by approximately 7 metres (outside No. 93 Moor Lane);
    • c introduce new sections of double yellow line “at any time” restrictions:

— outside No. 4 Buckland Road (for approximately 7 metres); and

— outside No. 102 Moor Lane (for approximately 3 metres).

  • 3 The Order, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including plans showing the location and effect of the proposed restrictions, are available for inspection until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order at:

• the 2nd Floor Reception Area, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; and

• Hook & Chessington Library, The Hook Centre, Hook Road, Chessington during normal opening hours.

  • 5 Any objections or other representations about the proposals should be sent in writing to the Service Director (Planning and Transportation), Guildhall 2, Traffic Order Section, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, KT1 1EU by 26th September 2008. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
