ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (STOCKTON AND THORNABY BYPASS) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) REVOCATION ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport intends to make an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the County of Cleveland, under Sections 14(1)(a) and 15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to revoke the A66 Trunk Road (Stockton and Thornaby Bypass) (Temporary Restriction and Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2006. This Order authorised the carriageway closures, contraflow, layby closures, pedestrian ban, 30mph speed restriction, and the width restriction on the A66 between the South Stockton Link Road Interchange and Acklam Road Interchange to allow construction of the new Surtees Bridge. These restrictions and prohibitions are no longer required now that the works to replace Surtees Bridge have been completed.

The Revocation will come into force on Friday 25 July 2008.
