THE SUTTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (NO. 18) (AMENDMENT NO. 20) ORDER 2008
WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN ANGEL HILL, BOUNDARY ROAD, ROSE HILL AND RELATED SIDE ROADS

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the above mentioned Order on 7 July 2008 under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

2. The principal objective of the Order is to benefit the safety of all road users at these locations.

3. The general effect of the Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” at the following locations:-

(a) Angel Hill, Sutton at its junction with Waverley Avenue;

(b) Angel Hill Drive, Sutton at its junction with Waverley Avenue;

(c) Beddington Gardens, Wallington at its southern junction with Boundary Road;

(d) Boundary Road, Wallington at its southern junction with Beddington Gardens;

(e) Rose Hill, Sutton at its junctions with Rosehill Gardens and Rose Hill Park West, and a short length in the vicinity of the traffic island located approximately midway between the junctions with Rose Hill Park West and Rosehill Avenue;

(f) Rose Hill Park West, Sutton at its junction with Rose Hill;

(g) Rosehill Gardens, Sutton at its junction with Rose Hill; and

(h) Waverley Avenue, Sutton at its combined junctions with Angel Hill and Angel Hill Drive.

4. A copy of the Order - which will come into operation on 14 July 2008 - containing the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order, and plans showing the locations and effects of the Order may be examined at:

Civic Offices St. Nicholas Way, Sutton 9am - 5pm Mon. - Fri.; and

Environment and Leisure 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton 9am - 5pm Mon. - Fri.

5. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
