TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - NO TIME LIMIT
ORDER NUMBER 51/1001

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than 21 days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order.

[51/1001] The City of Manchester (Loom Street, Ancoats) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular & Pedestrian Traffic) Order 2008. The effect of the Order shall be to prohibit vehicular & pedestrian traffic on Loom Street from Bengal Street to a point 40.0 metres in a north easterly direction of Cotton Street, except for accessing those lengths of road which may not (at any given time) be physically affected by the works.

The alternative route for traffic will be via :

1. Bengal Street, Jersey Street, Cotton Street & Loom Street.

2. Vice versa.

3. Bengal Street, Oldham Road, Great Ancoats Street, George Leigh Street, Cotton Street & Loom Street.

4. Loom Street, George Leigh Street, Cornell Street, Oldham Road, Great Ancoats Street, Jersey Street & Bengal Street.

The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in the interests of public safety during construction and highway surfacing works.

The Order will come into operation on the 25 July 2008 and will remain in force until the order is revoked.
