UNIVERSITIES OF OXFORD AND CAMBRIDGE ACT 1923

Statutes made by the University of Cambridge, on 25th February 2008 amending Statutes G and T and on 8th March 2008 amending Statutes A, C, and T, have been submitted for the Approval of Her Majesty in Council, and notice of these having been submitted are published in accordance with the provisions of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Act 1923. Under the provisions of the Act any petition must be received by the Privy Council Office, 2 Carlton Gardens, London SW1A 5AA, within eight weeks (exclusive of any University vacation).

The purpose of the amendments are to introduce a revised system of assessing the College’s contributions to a fund which supports the less well-off Colleges; to amend the existing statutes to increase the number of external members of the University’s Council and to introduce formal reference to a Deputy Chairman of the Council.
