THE CROYDON (FREE PARKING PLACES) (DISABLED PERSONS) (NO.3) TRAFFIC ORDER 2007

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 16 April 2007 made the above-mentioned Traffic Order under Sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.

2. The general effect of the Croydon (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No. 2) Traffic Order 2007 would be to:

(a) revoke the disabled parking places outside No. 5 Ashley Road, Thornton Heath, outside No. 49 Beaconsfield Road, West Croydon, outside No. 40(a) Blenheim Park Road, South Croydon, outside No. 46 Brooklyn Road, South Norwood, outside No. 2 Cherry Hill Gardens, Croydon, outside No. 35 Estcourt Road, South Norwood, outside No. 330 Grange Road, Upper Norwood, adjacent to No. 58 Grasmere Road, South Norwood, outside No. 31 Houlder Crescent, Croydon, outside No. 535 Mitcham Road, Croydon, outside No. 24 Netley Close, New Addington, outside Nos. 30 and 74 Ockley Road, Croydon (2 bays) and outside No. 46 Woodlands Grove, Coulsdon;

(b) designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit outside No. 91 Broughton Road, Thornton Heath, outside No. 77 Dalmeny Avenue, Norbury (between 2 existing disabled bays), outside Nos. 48 and 595 Davidson Road, Croydon (2 bays), outside No. 4 Dundee Road, South Norwood, outside No. 67 Elmers Road, South Norwood, outside No. 37 Elmside, New Addington, outside No. 111 Fairholme Road, Croydon, outside No. 15 Kendall Avenue, South Croydon, outside No. 7 Kensington Avenue, Thornton Heath, outside No. 22 Leigh Crescent, New Addington (2 wheels up on footway), Leslie Grove, Croydon (adjacent to No. 135 Cherry Orchard Road – converting existing ‘pay & display’ bay), outside No. 65 Lyndhurst Road, Thornton Heath (adjacent to existing disabled bay), outside No. 5 Marden Crescent, Croydon, outside No. 61 Mersham Road, Thornton Heath, outside Nos. 5/6 Moss Gardens, South Croydon, outside No. 16 Newark Road, South Croydon, outside No. 42 Osborne Road, Thornton Heath and outside Nos. 32/34 Thornhill Road, Croydon (converting a ‘pay and display’ bay).

3. A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 23 April 2007 and of all associated Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the Enquiry Counter, “One Stop” Facility, Ground Floor, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.

4. Copies of the Order may be obtained from Parking Services, Environmental, Cultural and Sports Services Department, 1st Floor, Davis House, Robert Street, Croydon, CR0 1QQ.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
