1. Under Section 90 of the Highways Act 1980 the Council is proposing to introduce
a series of speed humps, speed cushions and entry treatment junction tables as detailed
in Schedule 1 to this Notice. The speed hump outside 64/66 Tachbrook Road would stop
short of the kerb line leaving the road channel clear of obstructions. The speed hump
directly outside 48 Tachbrook Road would extend from kerb to kerb. 2. The form of
the traffic calming would be as follows: (a) the speed humps would have a maximum
length of 4 metres and a maximum height of 75 millimetres; (b) the speed cushions
would have a maximum length of 2.5 metres, maximum width of 1.9 metres and a maximum
height of 75 millimetres; and (c) the entry treatments would cover the full width
of the road from kerb to kerb and would have a maximum height of 75 millimetres. 3.
The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Amendment Order would be further to
amend the Hounslow (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1977 so that waiting by
vehicles would be prohibited “at any time” throughout the week in the lengths of road
as specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice. 4. The general effect of the Prohibition
on Stopping Outside Schools Order would be: (a) to prohibit vehicles from stopping
on the “school keep clear” zig-zag markings outside Longford Community School in:
(i) Letchworth Avenue, the south-east side, from a point 1.50 metres south-west of
a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 14 and 16 Letchworth Avenue to a point 2.50
metres north-east of a point opposite the party wall of Nos.10 and 12 Letchworth Avenue;
(ii) Tachbrook Road, the north-west side, from a point 4.00 metres north-east of a
point opposite the south-western wall of No.45 Tachbrook Road to a point 1.80 metres
south-west of a point opposite the north-eastern wall of No.39 Tachbrook Road. (b)
the hours of control would be between 8.15am and 9.30am and between 2.30pm and 4.30pm
on Mondays to Fridays during school term time. 5. A copy of the proposed Orders, of
the Councils statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and introduce the
associated traffic calming and of a plan depicting the lengths of road to which the
Orders relate can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive
until the end of a period of 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published
at the Forms and Documents Counter of the Access Hounslow Main Reception Area at the
Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow TW3 4DN. 6. Further information may be obtained
by telephoning the Street Management and Public Protection Department, telephone number
020 8583 4858. 7. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Orders or to the proposed
traffic calming should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds
thereof to the Director of Street Management and Public Protection, London Borough
of Hounslow, Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow TW3 4DN, quoting the reference TP/DN/1276,
