NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SCHEDULE 10 (AS AMENDED BY THE ENVIRONMENT ACT 1995)

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Environment Act 1995), that an application has been made to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region, by Hanson Aggregates for consent to discharge up to 6,000 cubic metres per day of Trade Effluent from Baston Quarry, Baston Fen, Peterborough, into a tributary of the North Drove Drain at National Grid Reference TF 13956 15089. The trade effluent is derived from dewatering operations associated with the Company’s mineral extraction at Baston Quarry. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Team Leader Regulatory Water Quality (Northern Area), Environment Agency, Waterside House, Waterside North, Lincoln LN2 5HA, to arrive not later than 5 March 2007, quoting reference number PRNNF/18728. A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, at the offices of the Environment Agency, Stepping Stone Walk, Winfrey Avenue, Spalding, Lincolnshire PE11 1DA, at all reasonable hours.
