WATER RESOURCES ACT 1991 - SCHEDULE 10 (AS AMENDED BY THE ENVIRONMENT ACT 1995)

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Schedule 10 of the above Act that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by DEFRA to discharge up to 20.0 cubic metres per day of treated leachate from DEFRA, Ridgeway Ground, Tilesford Park, Long Lane, Near Pershore, Worcestershire to a tributary of Piddle Brook at National Grid Reference SO 9752 4897. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Team Leader - Regulatory Water Quality at the Agency’s offices at Riversmeet House, Newtown Industrial Estate, Northway Lane, Tewkesbury, Glos, GL20 8JG during the period 19 January 2007 to 2 March 2007 inclusive quoting reference CP/LS/65066. The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties it is decided that consent can be granted, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharge to the receiving waters so that the above aims are met.
