THE CROYDON (FREE PARKING PLACES) (DISABLED PERSONS) (NO.1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2007

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 15 January 2007 made the above-mentioned Traffic Order under Sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Croydon (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No.1) Traffic Order 2007 would be to: (a) revoke the disabled parking places outside No. 25 Arnhem Drive, New Addington, outside Nos. 41 and 42 Aurelia Gardens, Croydon, outside No. 74 Beverstone Road, Thornton Heath, outside No. 9 Buxton Road, Thornton Heath, outside No. 139 Fairlands Avenue, Thornton Heath, outside “Willows” No. 1 Forge Avenue, Old Coulsdon, outside No. 135 Harewood Gardens, South Croydon, outside No. 196 Harrington Road, South Norwood, outside No. 13 Huntly Road, South Norwood, outside No. 38 Northbrook Road, West Croydon, outside No. 24 Pemdevon Road, Croydon and outside No. 53 Woodside Road, Woodside; (b) designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit outside Nos. 145 and 147 Bensham Manor Road, Thornton Heath (converting existing ‘pay & display’ bay), outside Nos. 5 and 6 Crowland Road, Thornton Heath (converting existing ‘pay & display’ bay), outside No. 39 Glenthorne Avenue, Croydon, outside No. 23 Godson Road, Croydon, outside Nos. 29 and 31 Godson Road, Croydon, outside Nos. 8, 10 and 12 Heathfield Vale, South Croydon, outside No. 12 Lynwood Gardens, Croydon, outside Nos. 6 to 16 Marion Road, Thornton Heath, outside Nos. 629 and 631 Mitcham Road, Croydon, outside Nos. 63 and 65 Northborough Road, Norbury, outside Nos. 48 and 50 Nova Road, Croydon (converting existing ‘pay & display’ bay), outside No. 71 Ockley Road, Croydon, outside Nos. 3 and 5 Queenswood Avenue, Thornton Heath, outside No. 18 Ramsey Road, Thornton Heath and outside No. 36 Woodville Road, Thornton Heath (converting existing ‘pay & display’ bay). 3. A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 22 January 2007 and of all associated Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the Enquiry Counter, “One Stop” Facility, Ground Floor, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey. 4. Copies of the Order may be obtained from Parking Services, Environmental, Cultural and Sports Services Department, 1st Floor, Davis House, Robert Street, Croydon, CR0 1QQ. 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
