MINOR PARKING AMENDMENTS
OAKHILL, SURBITON & VILLIERS CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended:— The Kingston upon Thames (Parking Places) (Oakhill) (Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 200*; The Kingston upon Thames (Parking Places) (Surbiton) (Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 200*; and The Kingston upon Thames (Parking Places) (Villiers) (Amendment No. *) Traffic Order 200*; and The Kingston upon Thames (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. */200*) Traffic Order 200*. 2. The general effect of the Orders would be to make various minor modifications to existing parking facilities and waiting restrictions, as detailed below: - Oakhill CPZ

BEECHWOOD CLOSE - To replace the existing single yellow lines with double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions on the south-west side (between Lovelace Road and the borough boundary)
LOVELACE ROAD - To shorten permit holder bays on the south-east side by 1 metre (across the access roads between 7/14 and 15/22 and between 39/46 and 47/54 Marlborough Gardens)
- To extend a permit holder bay outside Lawson Court by approx 1.5 metres
MOUNTCOMBE CLOSE - To formalise the permit holder spaces at the rear of Nos. 7 to 9 (adjacent to garages)
OAK HILL - To introduce two new permit holder bays on the south-west side (on the corners adjacent to Nos. 22/24 and adjacent to 26-30)
- To replace the permit holder bay on the west side (opposite No. 3) with a “shared use” bay
OAK HILL CRESCENT - To introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions on the south-east side (opposite No. 17 to 25)
OAK HILL GROVE - To replace the permit holder bays on the north-east side (outside No. 4 and opposite Nos. 1 and 3) with shared use bays
OAK HILL ROAD - To relocate the shared use bay from the south-west side to north-east side (outside the Health Centre) and extend the double yellow lines on the north-east side by approx 4 metres
SOUTH BANK/GLENBUCK ROAD - To introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions at the junction of South Bank and Glenbuck Road
SOUTH TERRACE - To shorten a permit holder bay adjacent to Nos. 20/24 South Terrace by 3 metres (in accordance with footway parking exemption)
- To replace a section of single yellow line with double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions on the north side of the southern arm (opposite No. 80-84)
Surbiton CPZ
AKERMAN ROAD - To remove a “shared use” space from the south-west side (outside No.1)
BALACLAVA ROAD - To remove a permit holder space from the north-west side (outside No. 37)
Villiers CPZ
BURNEY AVENUE - To replace the “shared use” bays on the north-west side (at the junction with Villiers Road) with permit holder spaces. The shared use bays will be moved to the south-east side to replace the permit holder spaces
CRANES DRIVE - To remove a permit holder space from the north-east side (outside No. 9)
CRANES PARK - To reduce a permit holder bay on the north-east side (outside Nos.12/14) by 1 metre
- To extend a permit holder bay on the south-west side (outside No. 53) by 3 metres To introduce permit holder bays on the south-west side (outside No. 51 and outside No. 49)
- To extend a permit holder bay on the west side (outside No. 61) by 1 metre
FERGUSON AVENUE - To replace a section of double yellow line with single yellow line waiting restrictions (8.30am to 6.30pm on Mon to Fri) on the south-east side (outside No. 5)
VILLIERS CLOSE - To convert a section of single yellow line to permit holder bays on the east side (outside 11 to 14)
3. The proposed Orders, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans showing their location and effect, are available for inspection until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at: The 2nd Floor Reception Area, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1EU between 9.30am and 4.30pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; Surbiton Library, Ewell Road, Surbiton during normal opening hours. 4. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Directorate of Environmental Services, telephone number 020 8547 5907. 5. Any objections or other representations about any of the proposed Orders should be sent in writing to the Director of Environmental Services (Highways and Transportation), Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KT1 1EU by 9th February 2007.
