PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Wessex Water Services Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation described under Part A1 Activities under Schedule 1, section 5.3 Disposal of waster other than by incineration or landfill, paragraph (a) and (c) of the PPC regulations under the following categories: (a) The disposal of hazardous waste (other than by incineration or by landfill) in a facility with a capacity of more than 10 tonnes per day; (c) Disposal of non-hazardous waste in a facility with a capacity of more than 50 tonnes per day by (ii) physico chemical treatment. The installation is located at Kingsweston Lane, Avonmouth, Bristol BS11 0YS, in the borough of Bristol, in the county of Bristol. The application contains the information required by the regulations, including a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. This information is held in registers at the following locations: Environment Agency, Public Register, Rivers House, East Quay, Bridgwater TA6 4YS; and Bristol City Council, Pollution Control Department, 3rd Floor, Brunel House, St Georges Road, Bristol BS1 5UY. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours (9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday). In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice.
