STOPPING-UP OF LENGTH OF HIGHWAY AT SCARBOROUGH BUSINESS PARK, SCARBOROUGH

Notice is hereby given that Scarborough Borough Council (the Council) as agent for North Yorkshire County Council, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at The Law Courts, Northway, Scarborough, North Yorkshire YO12 7AE, on 16 February 2007, at 10.00 am, for an Order that a length of highway (footpath) at Scarborough Business Park, Scarborough be stopped up pursuant to section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, on the ground that it is unnecessary.
The effect of the Order will mean that the said length of footpath will be released from the highway and become free from any rights of the public to pass and repass thereon.
A plan showing the proposed length of footpath to be stopped up is available for inspection at the Town Hall, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire YO11 2HG, and may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours.
