VARIOUS JUNCTIONS - PROPOSED YELLOW LINE
WAITING RESTRICTIONS
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Harrow proposes to make the above
mentioned order under Sections 6, 7, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and all other enabling
powers. This order seeks to address obstructive parking at various locations in the
borough where refuse collection is being compromised.
2. The general effect of The Harrow (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment
No.*) Traffic Order 2007 would be to further amend The Harrow (Waiting and Loading
Restriction) Order 1978, so that in the lengths of roads specified in column 1 of
the schedule to this notice, waiting by vehicles would be prohibited at any time.
Loading restrictions are proposed in parts of Sovereign Place at any time, in addition
to waiting restrictions (see Schedule 2).
3. The waiting restrictions referred to in paragraph 2 above would not apply in respect
of anything done at the direction of a police constable in uniform or with the permission
of a parking attendant or other person authorised by the Council or in certain circumstances,
e.g. the picking up or setting down of passengers, the carrying out of statutory powers
or duties etc. The usual exemption relating to vehicles lawfully displaying a disabled
person’s ‘Blue Badge’ would apply.
4. A copy of the proposed order, The Harrow (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order
1978 (and of the orders which have previously amended the order), including documents
giving more detailed particulars of the proposed scheme, are available for inspection
between 9am to 5pm, Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the one stop shop at the Civic
Centre. They are available for inspection until the expiration of a period of 21 days
from the date on which this notice is published.
5. All objections and other representations relating to the proposed orders must
be made in writing and sent to the Transportation Manager, Urban Living, at the address
given below quoting reference DP2006-26/92.05/37 received not later than the date
specified in paragraph 4 to this Notice. All objections must specify the grounds on
which they are made.

Schedule 1 - proposed no waiting at any time
Argyle Road
(a) the north-east and south-east sides,
