THE LEWISHAM (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 98) TRAFFIC ORDER 2007

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewisham Council made this order under the provisions of section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the 5 January 2007. The Order comes into force on the 29 January 2007. 2. The general nature and effect of the order is to amend the Lewisham (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1990 to add to existing restrictions at Dartmouth Road as follows (where ‘m’ = metres):— No Waiting At Any Time at— Bird in Hand Passage, both sides, within 47 metres of Dartmouth Road; Dartmouth Road northwest side, between A205 red route and 10m southwest of Thorpewood Avenue; & southeast side within 3m north & 4m south of access way between Nos. 27 & 29; within 3m north & 4m south of Bird in Hand Passage; within 4m north & 4m south of access way between Nos. 45/47 & 49; within 4m north & 10m south of access way between Nos. 53a & 55; within 5m north & 6m south of access way between Nos. 61a & 63; within 4m north & 7m south of Dartmouth Place; &within 19m north & 8m south of Clyde Vale. 3. Exemptions from the restrictions include Council and utility company vehicles engaged on certain duties, vehicles stopping to avoid an accident, ambulance, fire brigade and police vehicles and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform. 4. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the order and measures can be inspected between the hours of 10am. and 4pm. on Mondays to Fridays at the office of Lewisham Highways Development, Wearside Service Centre, Wearside Road, Ladywell, London, SE13 (tel. 020-8314 2265). 5. Any person wishing to question the validity of the order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument or relevant regulation made under the Act has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
