THE KINGSTON UPON THAMES (PARKING PLACES) (KINGSTON) (AMENDMENT NO 16) TRAFFIC ORDER 2006

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, on 29 December 2006, made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. 2. The general effect of the Orders, which will come into force on 8 January 2007, will be to: (a) introduce two additional 1-hour “pay and display” parking bays on the north side of Fife Road (outside No 19) at which the rate of charge would be £2 per hour. The bays would operate between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays, and between 11.00 am and 5.00 pm on Sundays; (b) revise the existing waiting and loading restrictions in lengths of Fife Road, so that they would apply “at any time”; (c) extend the existing loading restrictions (7.00 am to midnight) on the north side of Fife Road, so that they would apply outside Nos 15 and 17. 3. The Orders, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans showing the location and effect of the restrictions, are available for inspection until 9 February 2007 at: The 2nd Floor Reception Area, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1EU, between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; Kingston Library, Fairfield Road, Kingston, during normal opening hours. 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof, or of any relevant regulations made thereunder, have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 9 February 2007.
