National Grid hereby gives notice in accordance with the provisions of regulation 10(2) of the Public Gas Transporter Pipe-line Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 1999 that it is applying to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry for consent to construct a 30 km long, 1,220 mm diameter natural gas pipe-line between a compressor station at King’s Lynn in Norfolk (Ordnance Survey National Grid Reference (NGR) TF721 162) and the above ground installation at Wisbech (NGR TF 456 139), in Cambridgeshire. An environmental statement (ES) in support of the application has been prepared and a copy may be inspected by members of the public during opening hours at King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, at Kings Court, Chapel Street, Kings Lynn PE30 1EX; or Fenland District Council, at Fenland Hall, County Road, March PE15 8NQ, until 31 January 2007. Copies of the ES can also be purchased from Manor Farm, High Street, Walcott LN4 3SN, or from National Grid Community Relations on 0800 7311231 at a cost of £75 each for a hard copy.
