THE LEWISHAM (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO. -) TRAFFIC ORDER 2007
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewisham Council propose to make this order under the provisions of section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The general nature and effect of the order will be to impose a 20 mph maximum speed limit on vehicles being driven on these roads in the Croftion Park/Ladywell South/Catford West area:— Abbotswell Road, Adenmore Road, Amyruth Road, Arthurdon Road, Austin Close, Bankhurst Road, Bearstead Rise, Bexhill Road, Blythe Close, Blythe Hill, Blythe Hill Lane, Bournville Road, Brightling Road, Brockley Grove, Brockley Hall Road, Brockley Park, Brockley Rise between Brockley Road and Codrington Hill, Brockley View, Casslee Road, Chilthorne Close, Chudleigh Road, Codrington Hill, Crofton Park Road, Darfield Road, Dressington Avenue, Duncombe Hill, Elsiemaud Road, Ewhurst Road, Faversham Road, Foxborough Gardens, Francemary Road, Gladiator Street, Glynde Street, Gordonbrock Road, Henryson Road, Horsmonden Road, Huxbear Street, Iona Close, Ivy Road, Ladywell Heights, Ladywell Road between Adelaide Avenue and Brockley Grove, Lindal Road, Lowther Hill, Malyons Road, Malyons Terrace, Manwood Road, Marnock Road, Merritt Road, Montacute Road, Montem Road, Otford Crescent, Owens Way, Park Rise, Park Rise Road, Phoebeth Road, Polsted Road, Ravensbourne Park, Ravensbourne Road, Ravensbourne Park Crescent, Rushey Mead, Rushford Road, St. German’s Road, Salehurst Road, Sevenoaks Road, Sinclair Place, Slagrove Place, Steucers Lane, Stillness Road, Westdown Road, Winterbourne Road and Winterstoke Road; to be supported by traffic calming measures to constitute a 20 mph zone. 3. The restrictions referred to above will not apply to ambulance, fire brigade or police vehicles in an emergency or to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform. 4. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the order and measures can be inspected between the hours of 10am. and 4pm. on Mondays to Fridays at the offices of Lewisham Highways Development, Wearside Service Centre, Wearside Road, London, SE13 (telephone 020-8314 2265). 5. Any objection or other representation relating to the order must be made in writing and any objection must specify the grounds on which it is made. Any such objection or representation must be sent, quoting reference ‘Crofton20zone’, to Lewisham Highways Development, Wearside Service Centre, Wearside Road, London, SE13 7EZ, to arrive not later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
