CHANGES TO THE POETS CORNER (HERNE HILL) CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE (CONTROLLED ZONE “P”)
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lambeth Borough Council proposes to make the Lambeth (Parking Places) (Poets Corner) (No. --) Order 200-, the Lambeth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. --) Order 200-, the Lambeth (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No. --) Order 200- and the Lambeth (Loading Bays) (Revocation No. -) Order 200- under sections 6, 45, 46 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The general effect of the Orders would be to make changes to the Poets Corner Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ), which is situated in the Herne Hill area, as follows: (a) to provide some additional residents’ (only) parking space in Milton Road outside No. 21, in Hurst Street opposite Nos. 28/30, and in Railton Road outside Nos. 235/237, outside Nos. 257/259/261 and outside Nos. 200/200a/200b, and some additional shared use residents’/business/pay and display parking space in Railton Road outside Nos. 209/211/213; (b) to convert the shared use residents’/business/pay and display parking places in Railton Road outside Nos. 303 to 309 (odd numbers inclusive) and outside Nos. 220 to 232 (even numbers inclusive) into pay and display (only) parking places; (c) to move the disabled persons’ parking place on the north-west side of Hurst Street further north; (d) to provide a solo motorcycle parking area in Chaucer Road, near its junction with Railton Road; (e) to ban waiting by vehicles at any time in so much of Mumford Road as is public highway and in Brockwell Passage (the road at the side of Nos. 133 and 135 Dulwich Road), except for the purpose of loading or unloading the vehicle, subject to certain conditions and time limits; (f) to ban loading or unloading of vehicles— (i) between 7am and 7 pm on Mondays to Saturdays in— (1) Railton Road, outside Nos. 311 to 327 (odd numbers inclusive) and outside Nos. 236/238/240; and (2) Dulwich Road, from outside No. 240 Railton Road up to the junction of Dulwich Road with Railton Road; (ii) between 7 am and 10 am and between 4pm and 7pm on Mondays to Fridays in— (1) Railton Road, outside Nos. 234/236, outside No. 200d and outside Nos. 275 to 291 (odd numbers inclusive); and (2) Rymer Street, outside No. 12 Rymer Street and No. 200d Railton Road, and at the side of Nos. 115 and 117 Dulwich Road up to the junction with Dulwich Road. (Any existing ban on loading/unloading vehicles in these areas would be revoked.) 3. For further information about the Orders please telephone 0207 926 0185. 4. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders are available for inspection from 9.30 am until 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive (except Bank Holidays) until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at: the offices of Lambeth Council’s Transport and Highways Group, 3rd Floor, Blue Star House, 234-244 Stockwell Road, London SW9 9SP. 5.
