THE HACKNEY (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) (NO. 1) EXPERIMENTAL ORDER 2006
1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Hackney on 1st December 2006 made the above-mentioned Experimental Order under sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. The Order may remain in force for up to 18 months. 2. The general effect of the Order will be to amend the times of operation of waiting restrictions in the roads listed in the schedule to this notice from 8:30am to 5:30pm Mondays to Fridays 8:30am to 1:30pm Saturdays to Mondays to Saturday 8:30am to 6:30pm. 3. Where it appears necessary for certain purposes, the London Borough of Hackney or any person authorised by them may modify or suspend the order or any provisions in it, while the order is in force. 4. In due course, the London Borough of Hackney will be considering whether or not the provisions of the Order should be continued in force indefinitely. [Within the period of six months from the coming into force of the Order, or if the Order is subsequently varied by another Order or modified, from the coming into force of that variation or modification (whichever is the latest), any person may object to the making of an Order to continue indefinitely those provisions, Any such objection should be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made to the address contained in paragraph 5 of this notice. 5. Copies of the Order, which comes into force on 11th December 2006 and of other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, during the period within which objection can be made in accordance with paragraph 4 above, in the reception area, Dorothy Hodgkin House, London Borough of Hackney, Reading Lane, London, E8 1HJ. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
