STOPPING UP OF HIGHWAYS
THE SECRETARY OF STATE for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make
an Order under Section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of an area
of all purpose highway land at 11 Parkway, Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire.
IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable
the development described in the schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance
with the planning permission granted to Mr and Mrs Winnett by South Bedfordshire District
Council on 31 August 2005 under reference SB/TP/05/0644.
COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND RELEVANT PLAN MAY BE INSPECTED at all reasonable hours
during 28 days commencing on 7 December 2006 at the offices of South Bedfordshire
District Council, The District Offices, High Street North, Dunstable, Bedfordshire
LU6 1LF and at the Houghton Regis Library, Bedford Square, Houghton Regis, Dunstable,
Bedfordshire LU5 5ES and may be obtained free of charge from the Government Office
for the East of England (Development & Infrastructure) (quoting reference GT/N0220/35/01/102)
at the address stated below.
ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT to the making of the proposed Order within the period of 28
days commencing on 7 December 2006 by notice to the Secretary of State, quoting the
above reference, at the Government Office for the East of England (Development & Infrastructure),
Eastbrook, Shaftesbury Road, Cambridge CB2 8DF.
In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may
be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may
wish to communicate with the objector about it.
