HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116 AND TWELFTH SCHEDULE
Notice is hereby given that the Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them, intend to apply to Rochdale, Middleton & Heywood Magistrates’ Court, at The Court House, Town Meadows, Rochdale OL16 1BR, on 23 January 2007, at 9.45 am, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the closure of part of the footpath running between Church Street and York Street, Heywood, adjacent to St Luke’s Church, being a 2 metre strip running from a point to the rear of the footway adjacent to the corner of the south-west boundary of St Luke’s Church, Church Street, Heywood, in a generally northerly direction for a distance of 24 metres to a point 6 metres south of the rear of the footway, adjacent to the corner of the north-west boundary of St Luke’s Church, York Street, Heywood, including two recessed areas situated on the east side of the footpath. The effect of the said Order is shown on the plan, which may be inspected, free of charge, at the Borough Solicitor’s Office, The Rochdale Borough Council, Town Hall, Rochdale, and the Customer Services Centre, 44-46 Market Street, Heywood, during normal office hours.
