THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 238) ORDER 2006
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council on 6th December 2006 made
the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9
to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
2. The general effect of the Orders will be to:
(a) designate “pay and display” parking places (20 bays) in Bell Street (between
Edgware Road and Burne Street/Penfold Street), at which vehicles may be left for a
maximum parking period of 10 hours during the permitted hours (between 8.30 a.m. and
6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays) at a charge of £2.40 an hour;
(b) designate residents’ parking places (11 spaces) in Bell Street (between Burne
Street/Penfold Street and Lisson Street), at which vehicles displaying a valid residents’
permit relating to controlled parking zone B may be left during the permitted hours;
(c) introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions in Bell Street,
at and around the junctions of Corlett Street, Penfold Street, Burne Street and Lisson
Street.
3. The Orders, which will come into force on 11th December 2006, and other documents
giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection between
9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at West One, 59 Buckingham Gate,
London SW1E 6AJ, until 19th January 2007.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision
contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof
or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation
to the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 19th January
2007.
