HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116 AND TWELFTH SCHEDULE

Notice is hereby given that the Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them, intend to apply to the Rochdale, Middleton & Heywood Magistrates’ Court at The Court House, Town Meadows, Rochdale OL16 1BR, on 19 December 2006, at 9.45 am, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the closure of:
2 metre wide alleyway running from the front of the gable wall of the property 81 Promenade Street in a north north westerly direction between the properties 79 and 81 Promenade Street, Heywood for a distance of 14 metres.
2 metre wide alleyway running from the front of the gable wall of the property 89 Promenade Street in a north north westerly direction between the properties 89 and 91 Promenade Street, Heywood for a distance of 12 metres.
Alleyway of varying widths running from the front of the gable wall of the property 22 Sandiway in a south south easterly direction along the side of 22 Sandiway and along the rear of the properties 12-20 Sandiway, Heywood for a distance of 31 metres.
2 metre wide alleyway running from the most westerly corner of the rear boundary of 77 Promenade Street in a east north easterly direction along the rear of the properties 77-93 Promenade Street and 22-28 Sandiway and the side of 20 Sandiway, to the corner of the front boundary of 20 Sandiway, Heywood for a distance of 48 metres.
2 metre wide alleyway running from the mid point of the front boundary of 20 Sandiway in a south south easterly direction for 5 metres and then turning in an east north easterly direction along the rear of the properties 91-99 Promenade Street, Heywood for a distance of 19 metres.
The effect of the said Order is shown on the plan, which may be inspected, free of charge, at the Borough Solicitor’s Office, The Rochdale Borough Council, Town Hall, Rochdale and the Heywood Customer Services Centre, 44-46 Market Street, Heywood during normal office hours.
