NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF SECTION 88

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 to the Water Resources Act 1991, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency; by: Birse Civils Limited for consent to discharge: up to 5,200 cubic metres per day of: groundwaters to: the River Trent at National Grid References: SK 0378 1977; SK 0470 1891 and SK 0394 1955 from: Rugeley Eastern Bypass Stage 2 Contract 3 (Trent Valley Extension), Power Station Road, Rugeley, Staffordshire. The proposed discharges are scheduled to be made between November 2006 to March 2007 inclusive, although these dates may be subject to change depending upon weather conditions and obtaining the relevant permissions. The discharges are sought for dewatering purposes during bridge construction work. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Regulatory Officer Water Quality, The Environment Agency, Upper Trent Area, Sentinel House, Wellington Crescent, Fradley Park, Lichfield, Staffordshire WS13 8RR. not later than: 21st December 2006 quoting references: CP/UT/73641 and CP/UT/73642 Please be aware that any representation may be made available to third parties under the Freedom of Information Act or Environmental Information Regulations 2004. A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge at the Environment Agency address above, between the hours of 9 am & 4.30 pm Monday to Friday (not Bank Holidays).
