1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the above
Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
(a) in Praed Street, to:
(i) install 43 metres of double yellow lines and new loading restrictions (between
7am - 7pm) on Praed Street between Nos. 143 and 153 Praed Street;
(ii) install 10 metres of ‘at any time’ waiting and loading restrictions on Praed
Street outside Nos. 109 to 111 Praed Street;
(iii) install 10.5 metres of double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions
and remove 10.5 metres of loading restrictions on the south-east side of Praed Street
near its junction with Sale Place;
(iv) install eight new ‘Pay and Display’ parking bays on Praed Street between Nos.
61 and 67 and Nos. 73 and 79 for which the controlled hours would be 7am - 7pm Mon
- Sat and the maximum stay 4 hours;
(v) install an additional ‘Pay and Display’ parking bay on the south-east side of
Praed Street approximately 20 metres from the junction with Sale Place for which the
controlled hours would be 8:30am to 6:30pm Mon - Sat;
(b) in Junction Place, to install 49 metres of double yellow ‘at any time’ waiting
restrictions on the north-east side of Junction Place between Praed Street and St.
Michael’s Street;
(c) in London Street, to remove 6 metres of ‘at any time’ loading restrictions outside
Nos. 3 and 4 London Street;
(d) at the junction of Chapel Street and Cabbell Street, to install the following
lengths of double yellow ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions:
(i) 8 metres on the southern corner;
(ii) 4 metres on the western corner;
(iii) 6 metres on the northern corner; and
(iv) 8 metres on the eastern corner;
(e) at the junction of Chapel Street and Transept Street, to install the following
lengths of double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions:
(i) 7 metres on the southern corner;
(ii) 9 metres on the eastern corner;
(f) in Chapel Street, to:
(i) install seven new ‘Pay and Display’ parking bays on the north-western side of
Chapel Street between Edgware Road and Cabbell Street for which the controlled hours
would be 7am - 7pm Mon - Sat and the maximum stay 4 hours;
(ii) remove two metered parking places and two ‘Blue Badge’ disabled parking bays
from the north-western side of Chapel Street between Edgware Road and Cabbell Street;
(iii) install three new ‘Blue Badge’ disabled parking bays on the south-eastern side
of Chapel Street adjacent to No. 16 Cabell Street;
(iv) remove two metered parking bays from the south-eastern side of Chapel Street
adjacent to No. 16 Cabell Street;
(v) convert four existing metered parking bays outside Nos. 1 and 2 Chapel Street
to ‘Pay and Display’ parking bays and add an additional bay for which the controlled
hours would be 7am - 7pm Mon - Sat and the maximum stay 4 hours;
(vi) relocate an existing ‘White Badge’ personal parking bay outside No. 1 Chapel
Street north-eastwards by 8 metres; and
(vii) remove two ‘Pay and Display’ parking bays from opposite No. 48 Chapel Street.
3. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the
Orders are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays
inclusive at West One, 59 Buckingham Gate, London, SW1E 6AJ, until 6 weeks have elapsed
from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make
the Orders.

5. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Orders should be sent
in writing to the Council’s agents, West One, 59 Buckingham Gate, London, SW1E 6AJ,
quoting reference 5204/GM, by 1st December 2006. All objections must specify the grounds
on which they are made.
