FLANDERS RESIDENTIAL HAVEN
THE NEWHAM (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO. ) ORDER 200
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham proposes
to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule
9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act
1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.
2. The general effect of the Order would be to introduce restrictions on waiting
by vehicles operating “at any time” (double yellow lines) in the following lengths
of roads:
(i) Brede Close, the east side, between the northern kerb-line of Vicarage Lane and
a point 5 metres north of that kerb-line;
(ii) Flanders Road, between a point 30 metres west of the western kerb-line of Wellington
Road and a point 23 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Wellington Road;
(iii) Flanders Road, between the western kerb-line of Park Avenue and a point 15
metres west of that kerb-line;
(iv) Folkestone Road, the west side, between the southern kerb-line of Flanders Road
and a point 6 metres south of that kerb-line;
(v) Howard Road, between the southern kerb-line of Market Street and a point 6.5
metres south of that kerb-line;
(vi) Howard Road, between the northern kerb-line of Tilbury Road and a point 10.5
metres north of that kerb-line;
(vii) Market Street, the south side, between a point 10 metres west of the western
kerb-line of Howard Road and a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Howard
Road;
(viii) Park Avenue E6, the west side, between the northern kerb-line of Flanders
Road and a point 6 metres north of that kerb-line;
(ix) Vicarage Lane E6, the north side, between a point 89 metres east of the eastern
kerb-line of High Street South and a point opposite the south-westernmost boundary
of the Territorial Army Centre;
(x) Vicarage Lane E6, the south side, between a point 77 metres east of the eastern
kerb-line of High Street South and a point opposite the south-westernmost boundary
of the Territorial Army Centre;
(xi) Vicarage Lane E6, the south side, between the eastern kerb-line of Langton Avenue
and a point 10 metres west of a point opposite the north-western wall of No. 66 Vicarage
Lane;
(xii) Vicarage Lane E6, the north side, between the eastern kerb-line of Brede Close
and a point 33 metres west of the south-western kerb-line of Wellstead Road;
(xiii) Tilbury Road, between a point 9 metres west of the western kerb-line of Howard
Road and a point 9 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Howard Road;
(xiv) Tyrone Road, between the southern kerb-line of Flanders Road and a point 8
metres south of that kerb-line;
(xv) Wellington Road E6, between the northern kerb-line of Flanders Road and a point
8 metres north of that kerb-line.
3. A copy of the proposed Order, and of documents giving more detailed particulars
of the Order, can be inspected until six weeks from the date on which the Order is
made or until the proposals are withdrawn, as appropriate, during normal office hours
on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the offices of the Head of Public Realm, 25 Nelson
Street, East Ham, London E6 6EH.

5. Any objections and other representations relating to the proposed Order must be
made in writing to the Head of Public Realm, London Borough of Newham, 25 Nelson Street,
East Ham, London E6 6EH by 4 December 2006 quoting reference PR/TO/PD/NB. All objections
must specify the grounds on which they are made.
6. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that in view of the Local
Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council may be obliged to make any
comments in respect to this Notice open to public inspection.
