PROVISION OF SPEED CUSHIONS AND RAISED PELICAN CROSSING

CHADWELL HEATH LANE

1. Notice is hereby given that to control the speed of vehicles under the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with the provisions of the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, the London Borough of Redbridge propose to construct 4 sets of speed cushions and traffic islands and a raised Pelican crossing at the following locations: (a) in Chadwell Heath Lane outside Nos 306 and 304 or thereabouts; (b) in Chadwell Heath Lane outside Nos 290 and 288 or thereabouts; (c) in Chadwell Heath Lane outside Nos 278 and 276 or thereabouts; (d) in Chadwell Heath Lane outside No 1 West View, Chadwell Heath Lane or thereabouts; (e) in Chadwell Heath Lane north-western flank wall of No 224 Chadwell Heath Lane or thereabouts. 2. The speed cushions (a) (b) (d) (e) which will be flat top design, not more than 75 millimetres at their highest point with an overall length of 3 metres and a width of 1.6 metres and will be constructed to comply with the Department for Transport specifications. The raised Pelican crossing (c) will be flat top design, not more than 75 millimetres at its highest point and a width of 9 metres it will be constructed between kerbs without channels. 3. A copy of the plan showing the locations of the speed cushions and the raised Pelican crossing may be inspected between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Fridays (9.30 am and 4.30 pm on Wednesdays) at the information Centre, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford Essex IG1 1NY. 4. Any person wishing to object or make representations to the proposal should send a statement in writing of their objection or representation and the grounds thereof to the Chief Engineering and Building Services Officer, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1NY quoting Ref EBS/TE/SA/S201 by no later than 24 November 2006.
