HIGHWAYS ACT 1980—SECTION 116
STOPPING-UP OF PUBLIC HIGHWAYS
Notice is hereby given that Liverpool City Council intends to apply to the City Magistrates’ Court, Dale Street, Liverpool, on Thursday 12 October 2006, at 9.45 am, for Orders under section 116 of the above Act, for the stopping-up of the following highways on the ground that they are unnecessary: 1. Part of Uxbridge Street, Liverpool 7; passageway and footpaths leading from Uxbridge Street to Tunnel Road, Liverpool 7; 2. Part of Uxbridge Street and Harke Street, Liverpool 7; 3. Annerley Street, Liverpool 7; passageways leading from Annerley Street to Webster Road and an un-named access road leading from Earle Road, Liverpool 7; 4. An area of highway adjacent to Webster Road, Liverpool 7; 5. Part of Tithebarn Street, Liverpool 2; 6. Footpaths leading from Tunnel Road, Upper Parliament Street and Smithdown Lane, Liverpool 7; 7. Passageway leading from Gilman Street to Tinsley Street and Back Rockfield Road, Liverpool 4; 8. Passageway leading from Tinsley Street to Lake Street and Back Rockfield Road, Liverpool 4; 9. Passageway adjacent to No 2 Lake Street, Liverpool 4; 10. Passageways leading from Venmore Street and Walton Breck Road, Liverpool 5; and 11. Passageway leading from Venmore Street, Liverpool 5. Plans showing the effect of the proposed Orders, may be inspected, without payment, between the hours of 8.45 am and 4.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the City Solicitors Office, Municipal Buildings, Dale Street, Liverpool. On the hearing of the application, any statutory undertaker having apparatus under, in, upon, over, along or across the highways, the owners and occupiers of lands adjoining the highways, any person who uses the highways and any other person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Orders shall have a right to be heard.
