APPLICATION FOR AN ORDER AUTHORISING THE STOPPING-UP OF PARTS OF GOULDEN STREET AND HATTER STREET, ANCOATS

Notice is hereby given that the council of the City of Manchester, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Crown Square, Manchester on Thursday 31 August 2006 at 2.00 pm for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping-up of the highways specified in the Schedule hereto on the grounds that they are unnecessary. A plan showing the said highways may be inspected, without payment at my office, Room 601, between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays. Any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the said Order may appear before the Court and make objections or representations thereto. Any person intending to attend the hearing of the application is requested to inform me, quoting Ref L/AJB/EVD5001.725 before the date of the hearing of their intention to appear. Schedule The full width of Goulden Street from Mason Street for a distance of 46 metres in a north westerly direction to the north west side of Hatter Street (marked ‘A’ on the plan) subject to the reservation of a 2 metre wide footpath (marked by bold black dashes on the plan) commencing at the junction of Goulden Street and Hatter Street from a point (Point X) 4.8 metres north east of the south west footway of Goulden Street for 46 metres in a south easterly direction to Mason Street at a point (Point Y) on the north east side of the existing south footway of Goulden Street. The full width of Hatter Street from Marshall Street for a distance of 27.5 metres in a north easterly direction to Goulden Street (marked ‘B’ on the plan). 24 July 2006.
