NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF A LOCAL PLAN
WEST DORSET DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN 2006

On 14 July 2006, West Dorset District Council adopted this plan. The adopted plan will form part of the development plan for the area of West Dorset District Council. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area. Copies of the adopted plan are available at for inspection at the District Council offices at: Stratton House, 58-60 High West Street, Dorchester: 8.30 am to 5.00 pm (Mon to Thurs), 8.30 am to 4.30 pm (Fri); Mountfield, Rax Lane, Bridport: 8.30 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm (Mon to Thurs), 8.30 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm (Fri); and The Manor House, Newland, Sherborne: 8.30 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm (Mon to Thurs), 8.30 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm (Fri). (Note that, until the plan is printed, the adopted plan consists of the West Dorset District Revised Deposit Local Plan and Proposed Modifications agreed for adoption 2006.) The documents can also be viewed on the District Council’s website www.dorsetforyou.com and at Chickerell Town Council office, Putton Lane, Chickerell; Lyme Regis Town Council office, Guildhall Cottage, Church Street, Lyme Regis; and public libraries in West Dorset and Weymouth town centre where they can be viewed during normal opening hours. The plan came into operation on its adoption. A person aggrieved by the proposals who desires to question their validity on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by Part 2 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 or that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the adoption of the proposals, may, within 6 weeks from 14 July 2006, make an application to the High Court under section 287 of the 1990 Act.
