THE GUILDFORD OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES (AMENDMENT) (NO 1) ORDER 2006

Notice is hereby given that Guildford Borough Council has made an Order in exercise of its powers under sections 32, 33, 35 and 124, and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”), Regulation 21 and Part IV of Schedule 4 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers the effect of which will be to amend the Guildford Off Street Parking Places Order 2004 (as amended) by amendment of the boundary of Ripley Car Park, introduction of a charge at Ash Vale Station Approach car park of £1 per visit on Monday to Friday (7.00 am to 4.00 pm) and the addition of a car park at Falcon Road, Guildford. Reason: The Order has been made to enable the provisions of the Guildford Off Street Parking Places Order 2004 (as amended) to be enforced within the new parking facilities referred to above. Note. The Order will come into effect on 28 July 2006. A copy of the Order may be inspected at Guildford Borough Council Offices, Millmead House, Millmead, Guildford, on Mondays to Fridays between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any other provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on any grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 21 July 2006 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
