PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000

INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Cory Environmental (Central) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the biological treatment of landfill leachate. The installation is located adjacent to the Vigo Utopia Landfill Site in Coppice Lane, in the borough of Walsall, in the county of the West Midlands. The application contains the information required by the regulations including a description of any foreseeable effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. This information is held in registers at the following locations: Environment Agency, IPPC Public Registers, Sentinel House, 9 Wellington Crescent, Fradley Park, Lichfield, Staffordshire WS13 8RR; and Local Authority, IPPC Public Register, Walsall MBC, Civic Centre, Darwall Street, Walsall WS1 1TP. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours (9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday). In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in these registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of photocopying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requested in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
