PROPOSED STOPPING-UP OF SHAW WAY

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, entitled the London Borough of Sutton (Stopping-up of Highway) (Shaw Way) Order 2006. 2. The general effect of the Order will be to stop up areas of public highway at Shaw Way, Roundshaw, to enable the development of part of the Roundshaw Estate as described in the Schedule hereto. The term “stopping-up” means that area of Shaw Way ceases to be public highway. 3. The stopping-up is to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act, to Hyde Housing Association, Ref D005/55030/FUL. 4. A copy of the draft Order and the relevant plan may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Council’s Executive Head of Legal Services, Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey SM1 1EA (Ref VC) (020 8770 5077). 5. A copy of the draft Order and the relevant plan may be inspected by any person, free of charge, by appointment, between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm (weekdays), at Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey SM1 1EA.
