TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under
section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping-up of highways or areas of
highways of Bruce Avenue, Eckert Avenue, Harehills Road, West Row, West Crescent,
Shirley Avenue, Forbes Avenue, East Crescent, Riverdale Court, East Row, Ascot Avenue,
Springvale Terrace, Hinton Avenue, Mattison Avenue, Central Avenue, and of an unnamed
road and two unnamed footpaths, at Central Whinney Banks, Middlesbrough.
If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable
the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance
with the planning permission granted to Bellway Homes Limited by Middlesbrough Borough
Council on 14 December 2004 under Ref M/FP/1956/04/P.
Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours
during 28 days commencing on 19 July 2006 at the offices of Middlesbrough Borough
Council, PO Box 99A, Town Hall, Russell Street, Middlesbrough TS1 2QQ and may be obtained
free of charge from the Secretary of State at the offices of the Department for Transport
(quoting Ref GO-NE/06/5047/35/04) at the address stated below.
Any person may object to the making of the proposed order within the period of 28
days commencing on 19 July 2006 by notice to the Secretary of State, quoting the above
reference, at the offices of the Director, Environment Group, Government Office for
the North East, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4WH.
In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may
be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may
wish to communicate with the objector about it.

Middlesbrough.
