CONFIRMATION NOTICE OF STOPPING-UP ORDER
THE STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAY (LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM) (CHURCH ROAD/WAKERING ROAD)
The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham hereby gives notice that it has made an
Order pursuant to section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 entitled “The
Stopping-up of Highway (London Borough of Barking and Dagenham) (Church Road/Wakering
Road) (No 1) Order 2006” authorising the stopping-up of highway at Wakering Road and
Church Road, in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.
This stopping-up Order is permanent and has been authorised to allow the development
described in planning permission granted to East Thames Housing Group from 30 June
2003 under Ref DC/03/00309/FUL (as varied by planning permission 04/00608/FUL issued
on 11 March 2005) as further described in the Schedule to this notice.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the London
Borough of Barking and Dagenham, Legal Services Division, Town Hall, Barking IG11
7LU. It may also be inspected at all reasonable office hours at the offices of the
London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, Town Hall, Barking IG11 7LU.
Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof,
or any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the power
of the above or any requirement of the Act, or that any regulation made thereunder
has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 19 July
2006, apply to the High Court for suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision
contained therein.

Schedule
Application 03/00309/FUL is partly superseded/varied by 04/006/08/FUL, the description
of which is “amendments to planning permission DC03/003/09/FUL involving placement
of foyer with ten-storey building to provide 40 one and two bedroom flats, redesign
of plots 38, 39 and 72 to provide in large class D1 use and 18 one and two bedroom
flats in five-storey building, changes to siting and layout of wheelchair housing
plots 12 and 13 and alterations to plots 28-32 to provide 5 two bedroom and 10 one
bedroom flats.”
