VARIOUS TRAFFIC MEASURES

1. Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of the City of London on 14 July 2006 made Orders under sections 6 and 45 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The effect of the orders will be to: (a) remove the prohibition of vehicles entering Paternoster Row, and designate a disabled persons parking bay. The bay will be free of charge and be available at any time to City “Red” badge holders. Other badge holders will be limited to a three maximum stay on Mondays to Fridays; (b) remove the disabled persons bay and motor cycle bay in Cursitor Street and relocate them to Chancery Lane an Tooks Court respectively; (c) remove the motor cycle bays in Foster Lane and relocate them by extending an existing bay in Gresham Street and converting part of a metered parking bay in Gutter Lane; (d) impose at any time waiting restrictions in Devonshire Row. 3. A copy of the Orders which will come into operation on 24 July 2006 and of a plan showing the affected streets can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made in the Department of Planning and Transportation, St Alphage House, Fore Street, London EC2Y 5DH 4. Copies of the Orders may be obtained from the above address or by telephone 0207 332 1108. 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
