The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act, which will authorise the stopping-up of an area of highway at Sherrydon Road, Cranleigh in the county of Surrey. If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Pavilion Housing Association, on 16 February 2006, by Waverley Borough Council, under Ref WA/2002/1632. Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 14 July 2006 at the Waverley Borough Council Cranleigh Locality Office, Village Way, Cranleigh GU6 8AS, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Surrey, East and West Sussex Transport Team, Government Office for the South East (quoting Ref GOSE/029/001/SURR/AAJ) at the address below. During the above-mentioned period of 28 days anyone may object to the making of the Order by writing to the Secretary of State, quoting Ref GOSE/029/001/SURR/AAJ and addressing their objection to the Surrey, East and West Sussex Transport Team, Government Office for the South East, 1st Floor, Bridge House, 1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford GU1 4GA. In the preparation of an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection may be communicated to the applicant and other people who may be affected by it.
