Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 47, 49, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, sections 63 to 87 inclusive and Schedules 6 and 7 of the Road Traffic Act 1991 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Orders would be to: (a) introduce a Pay and Display scheme in Beckenham Road, Beckenham to replace the existing time restricted parking bays as specified in the Schedule to this notice; (b) introduce a Pay and Display scheme (incorporating two additional bays) in High Street, Beckenham (between its junctions with Bromley Road and Manor Road) to replace existing parking meters, and to relocate the two disabled bays on the west side as specified in the Schedule to this notice; (c) extend the Waiting Restrictions in Thayers Farm Road, Beckenham as specified in the Schedule to this notice. Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Orders. A copy of the proposed Orders, of the plans of the scheme and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, Kent. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment and Leisure Services, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BRl 3UH, quoting Ref ADE(TP)/FP/T100/474-476 not later than 3 August 2006. Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this notice may be open to public inspection. Schedule Pay and Display Parking Bays Pay and Display parking between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays. 30p per hour—2 hour maximum stay. Minimum 10p up to 20 minutes: Beckenham Road, Beckenham, the south side, from a point 1 metre west of the party wall of Nos 61 and 63 eastwards to a point 16 metres west of the western kerbline of Queen’s Road. (6 spaces) Pay and Display parking between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, except Public Holidays and Bank Holidays 40p per hour—2 hour maximum stay. Minimum 10p up to 15 minutes: High Street, Beckenham, the west side, from a point 3 metres south of the party wall of Nos 68 and 70 southwards to a point 2 metres south of the party wall of Nos 96 and 98. (8 spaces) Disabled Parking Bays: Disabled Persons Parking Places—At Any Time—Maximum stay 3 hours: High Street, Beckenham: (a) the west side, outside Nos 68 and 70; (b) the east side, outside Nos 59 and 61. Waiting and Loading Restrictions No Waiting between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive: Thayers Farm Road, Beckenham: (a) the west and north-west sides, from the northern kerbline of Beckenham Road northwards for a distance of 25 metres; (b) the east and south-east sides, from the northern kerbline of Beckenham Road northwards for a distance of 21.5 metres. No Waiting At Any Time: Thayers Farm Road, Beckenham: (a) the west and north-west sides, (i) from a point 25 metres north of the northern kerbline of Beckenham Road north-eastwards for a distance of 12 metres, (ii) from the northern kerbline of Chaffinch Road to a point l metre east of the party wall of Nos 32 and 34; (b) the east and south-east sides: (i) from a point 21.5 metres north of the northern kerbline of Beckenham Road north-eastwards for a distance of l0 metres.
