HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116 AND TWELFTH SCHEDULE

Notice is hereby given that The Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them, intend to apply to the Rochdale Middleton and Heywood Magistrates’ Court at The Court House, Town Meadows, Rochdale OL16 1BR, on Wednesday 16 August 2006, at 9.45 am for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the closure of: 1. A 4 metre wide alleyway to the rear of 190-200 Claybank Street, Heywood from the south-west boundary of 24 Peel Lane for a distance of 48 metres in an easterly direction to the south-east boundary of 57 Cedar Avenue. 2. A 4 metre wide alleyway to the rear of 24-32 Peel Lane and 57-65 Cedar Avenue leading to a turning head to the rear of 34 and 36 Peel Lane and 67 and 69 Cedar Avenue, Heywood, from the rear boundary of 194 Claybank Street for a distance of 45 metres in a northerly direction to the south-east boundary of 36 Peel Lane. The effect of the said Order is shown on the plan which may be inspected, free of charge, at the Borough Solicitor’s Office, The Rochdale Borough Council, Town Hall, Rochdale and the Heywood Customer Services Centre, Market Street, Heywood, during normal office hours.
